Simon was invited to visit the children to discuss Food Poverty. The Learning Community run a Community Fridge and Food In Crisis Service. The children had collected some food at their Harvest Festival and wanted to donate it to our Community Fridge. Simon was very impressed by the level of questions about Food Poverty and the way the children wanted to learn more and how they could help. They were very happy to know that the food they had brought into School was going to a good cause and wouldn't go to waste.
Blog from the School website "Last week we were visited by Simon Pugh from The Learning community, a charity linked to St Leonard’s church in Thrybergh. The children have been investigating if everyone in Rotherham have enough food as part of our Geography theme about food".
